Hothouse? ~ St. James's Square, Bristol

Perhaps somebody can give me a better description for this building?   One might call it a greenhouse since it is used for the cultivation of plants, but certainly not to be confused with a glasshouse.   It is clearly heated, as shown by the chimney to the right, but the term 'hothouse', to me, implies the cultivation of more exotic plants requiring heat to survive, but there is no evidence of this.   Comments please !   GeoffStone@Wedmore.org.uk
